Man is a Wolf to Man
Man is a Wolf to Man
Oil on Canvas
36" X 24"
2020

I've always loved this ancient Greek expression coined to condemn the immorality of mankind, like the horrible tragedies of endless war in Syria and Afghanistan. I was a wolf once in Elementary school. In our class play, I was Cerberus, guardian of the gates of Hell. My father made a wonderful shoulder piece with 3 wolf masks (I wore the one in the middle), and I got to do a menacing dance alone on stage. This painting was accepted into the 2016 North Carolina Artist's Exhibition in Raleigh, N.C.
