Dream of a Mincemeat Fiend
Dream of a Mincemeat Fiend
Acrylic on Board
12" X 15"

'Dream of a Mincemeat Fiend' was a still from a very early black and white film I saw images of in a book. It was about the stomach ache- induced dream of a sleeper, who eventually falls out of bed to the floor. I enjoyed the odd subject and especially painting a contrast between the upper part, painted in my usual way, with the bottom in a kind of slick modern impressionism. It was sold, but then years later I saw it damaged and for sale in a local antique store. I considered buying it back and repairing it, but in the end decided to move on. I'm glad it still lives virtually.

Sold.
