My father lived in Coventry, Pennsylvania for many years. He was hired to care for a historic building, which he lived in. When I visited I would paint landscapes on these grounds. This is simply designed realism, humble but attractive. I always liked the shadow under the tree, which is a hand, and the highlight on the wire cutting across it.
