Painter Saved From a Fall
Painter Saved From a Fall
Acrylic on Canvas
11" X 13"

I saw this subject somewhere in my art historical travels; a painter saved from a fall by the image he's painting. I'm the painter in this- I didn't know I wore a pork-pie back then, but I usually wore a hat in my studio room to shade my eyes from glare. A nude venus has grabbed my arm to save me- hopefully for herself! 'Saved from a Fall' also spoke to me of the Fall of Man in the Biblical sense- or in Camus' wonderful 'The Fall'. That's my Club Rd. studio though; my mother's T-square, my old easel, the 'walking man' paper cutout, the medium jar, the paintings on the wall (both lost), and the ceiling crack.
