The Land of the Very Rich and Very Poor is a large painting I did addressing a larger world problem. It contrasts a wealthy estate with a war-torn landscape that could be in Bosnia, Syria, Ukraine, or many other places in the world today. I worked on it for many years, off and on. Conceptually, it comes out of the Lorenzetti's 'The Effects of Bad Government'.
