St. Neot was a 9th c. Monk who lived in a rural village just outside Cornwall, England. He noticed that many villagers, who were mostly farmers, were not attending Sunday services. He asked them why, and they told him the crows needed to be kept off their crops every day. Neot told them to go to church the next Sunday, which they did. That Sunday, and every one after that, the crows gathered in the town’s commons for the day. Crows are very intelligent creatures, and love to find seeds on the snow. I love birds and snow scenes.
