Another Mary Magdalene painting done around the time of my Gospel of Mary Magdalene book illustrations. Legend has it that after the crucifiction, Mary, her daughter, and a few followers sailed away in a rudderless boat, miraculously ending up on the coast of France. Mary lived there in a cave by the shore for the rest of her days.
