I enjoyed the contrasts in Port of New Orleans. The focus and detail of the near, and the atmospheric haze of the distance; the complicated dock scene and open waterway, the yin and yang curves of the landscape and seascape, echoed by the flight of birds at left. This painting was selected for the 2024 Degas House Museum Art Fest.
