Looming Apocalypse is a large painting on a wooden panel, influenced by disturbing contemporary events and deteriorating world conditions. It's indebted as well to visionary late Medieval and early Renaissance images of the end days; especially the expressive other-worldly color and light of Mathis Grunwald.
