These days we’re often assaulted by shocking and horrific images of violence and murder. The aftermath of these events; terrible suffering, grieving, and efforts toward healing, don’t get equal attention. Without which, understanding these events and finding remedies and solutions, become more difficult. I saved the news photo this is based on from the Paris theater shootings. There was something about the body lying alone under a tarp that was compellingly existential and iconic.
