A dark painting; because it's early morning, and because the theme is dark. The flying snakes overhead are from a recently discovered ceiling relief in Egypt. The relief depicts images from the zodiac, which was brought to Egypt by the Greeks, and became very popular there. I find it interesting that we now know dinosaurs were reptile and bird hybrids (as in this painting). I like it's combination of innocence, menace, simplicity, surrealism, and magic.
