This drawing is from a series I did in my notebook of the life masks of Pharoahs, Their families, and royalty, from the studio of the great royal sculptor, Thutmose. This is the Pharoah Ay, who wore many hats and titles in his lengthy reign at court. He is thought to be the father of the beautiful Queen Nefertiti.
