‘A Corner of Heaven’ is all that survives of a large painting called ‘Heaven’. It was stored in a shed for a time, where it was literally eaten by rats!. My Heaven featured architecture and staffage from all parts of the world. Paintings of Heaven almost don’t exist, because it’s a product of human imagination, and makes no sense otherwise. My cat Spot photobombs the scene lower left.
